College of Nursing

In the institute of child health sciences Lahore, the school of nursing was established in 1994. The 3-year general nursing course was started in 1994 March and the 1-year course Midwifery training program started in March 2000. The institute was affiliated with services hospital Lahore for a clinical experience of an adult patient, since 1994, 39 batches & 2412 students are successfully graduate with outstanding positions in the nursing board Punjab, now a diploma program phase-out into a degree program. The qualified student of this institute is not only providing their services in children’s hospital but also providing their excellent services nationally/internationally.
The nursing profession is an integral part of the health care delivery system. Nurses play a vital role in the provision of health care to doctors and other healthcare professionals.
To bring about changes in the nursing profession in order to develop the highest degree of professionalism, technical skills, and knowledge. The school of nursing children’s hospital upgraded to the status of a college of nursing in February 2020. The first batch of BSN generic 4-year degree programs was inducted in 2020 with the approval of 100 seats.
CH & UCHS is an 1100 bedded tertiary care hospital and provides the best possible medical cover to almost 47% pediatric population of the country. This hospital approached Punjab Govt & PNC for commencement of post-basic diploma in pediatric nursing.
