ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

 

A.                    OPEN MERIT

               I.             PUNJAB

a)     Matriculation or equivalent securing a minimum of 60% marks.

b)    FSc (Pre-Medical) or equivalent securing a minimum of 60% marks.

c)     Candidates holding Punjab Domicile.

 

             II.          AJK/ GB/ FATA/ OTHER PROVINCES QUOTA

a)   Matriculation or equivalent securing a minimum of 60% marks

b)   FSc (Pre-Medical) or equivalent securing a minimum of 60% marks.

c)   Domicile certificate of the concerned other Provinces, AJK, GB or FATA

 

         III.           SEATS FOR PERSON WILL SPECIAL ABILITY (DISABLED QUOTA)

·   The basic eligibility criteria of Open Merit Seats will be followed for admission against disabled quota

·   The disabled candidate will be required to produce a Disability Certificate issued for persons with disabilities from the National/Provincial Council for the Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons or a CNIC with a disability logo or proof of registration in NADRA’s database as a “special person”. Such certificates will only make him/her eligible to apply against the reserved seats for disabled.

 

B.              SELF FINANCE

 

Self-financed seats are available for candidates who can fund their education, providing an opportunity for students who may not secured admission through open-merit. These seats have a significantly higher fee structure compared to open-merit seats. A separate merit will be calculated for candidates against this quota and admission will be offered as per order of merit. The admission against self-finance seats is not transferable to open merit seats.

C.        FOREIGN / INTERNATIONAL SEATS 

a)     Foreign/International seats are for applicants who hold a foreign/dual nationality and/or overseas Pakistanis (being a Pakistani citizen holding a permanent residence status in a foreign country).

b)    First Preference will be given to those candidates who have completed and passed the HSSC 12th-grade (Pre-Medical) examination or its equivalent outside Pakistan. They  must submit an equivalence certificate for FSC (Pre-Medical) issued by the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) Pakistan to be eligible for admission against this reserved seats. However, the candidates, who had matriculation or equivalent with minimum 60% marks and FSC (Pre-medical) or equivalent with minimum 60% marks will be eligible but will be given   second preference

c)     Where any seat of foreign quota remains vacant due to non-availability of eligible candidates or otherwise, it shall be transferred to self-finance seats. Provided that a student admitted on a foreign seat shall pay the fee as a foreign student regardless of any change in the status of such student during the academic programme.

 

MERIT CALCULATION

FSc. (Pre-Medical)/ HSSC/ Equivalent = 90% weightage , Matriculation/ SSC/Equivalent =  10% weightage

MSN ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

 

Category – I:

 

  • Minimum of 10 Years of schooling (Matriculation-Science).
  • 03 Year Diploma in Nursing
  • 01 Year Diploma in Midwifery or any Post Basic Specialty Diploma registered with Pakistan Nursing and Midwifery Council (PNMC).
  • 01-year experience as Registered Nurse (RN) after Diploma in Nursing.
  • 02 Years Post RN BSN/BSM Degree as specified by PNMC and HEC vide Notification No. 8(61)/A&A/2018/HEC/5799, dated 26.04.2018 and registered with PNMC.
  • 02 years’ experience as RN of which minimum of 01 Year experience as RN after Post RN BSN (clinical includes inpatient and outpatient in primary, secondary and tertiary care, as well as teaching and research).

 

Category – II:

 

  • 12 Years schooling (FSc Pre-Medical)
  • 04 Year BS Nursing registered with PNMC.
  • 01-Year Internship (bedside care)
  • 01-year experience as RN after BSN (clinical includes inpatient and outpatient in primary, secondary and tertiary care as well as teaching and research) (excluding 01-year Internship).

 

SEAT DISTRIBUTION:

 

  • Open merit :         20 Seats
  • Self-Finance :         03 Seats
  • Person with special ability (Disabled quota) :         01 Seat
  • Foreign/International :         01 Seat
  • Total Seats :           25 Seat

 

Both female and male candidates are eligible to apply, with equal opportunities provided to all applicants.

 

Open merit:

 

The seats are allocated with 90% reserved for applicants holding a valid domicile certificate of Punjab, while the remaining 10% are open to applicants from other provinces, Federal, FATA, AJK, Gilgit & Baltistan.

 

Self-Finance:

 

Self-financed seats are available for candidates who can fund their education, providing an opportunity for students who may not secure admission through open-merit seats. These seats have a significantly higher fee structure compared to open-merit seats.

 

Person with special ability:

 

  1. In the context of MSN admissions, special ability is defined as a physical impairment that significantly hinders a candidate’s ability to acquire education before entering College of Nursing, relative to a normal individual, but does not preclude them from pursuing academic studies.

 

  1. The Special ability shall be of permanent nature.

 

  • The candidate shall be declared specially-able by the Medical Board.

 

  1. Selection against these seats shall be finalized on the recommendation of Medical Board on merit from amongst the certified Special able candidates.

 

  1. To be considered on open merit as well as the specially abled candidate’s seats, the candidates must apply against both categories. However, it will be the candidate’s choice to avail an open merit or a disabled (specially-abled) seat.

 

  1. The vacant seats from disability quota will be reallocated to self-finance candidates. If any self-finance seats remain vacant, they will subsequently be offered to candidates on open merit.

 

Foreign/International:

 

  1. Foreign/International seats are for applicants who hold a foreign/dual nationality and/or overseas (being a Pakistani citizen holding a permanent residence status in a foreign country) Pakistani.

 

  1. Such candidates must have English proficiency certificate as IELTS academic (with an overall score: 6.0).

 

  • The candidate shall hold an equivalent qualification and have obtained a minimum of 2.5 GPA and registered with the Nursing Council abroad.

 

  1. Where any seat of foreign quota remains vacant due to non-availability of eligible candidates or otherwise, it shall be transferred to self-finance seats. Provided that a student admitted on a foreign seat shall pay the fee as a foreign student regardless of any change in the status of such student during the academic programme.

 

  1. Vacant seats from the foreign quota will be reallocated to self-finance candidates. If any
    self-financed seats remain vacant, they will subsequently be offered to candidates on open merit.
